It is an eternal rule of nature that men like to chase and women like to play hard before getting in a relationship. However, this tendency of men causes a majority of relationship problems. Men like to chase women, conquer them and then go for another chase. Whereas women want to get chased, bowled over and then settle down with her man. But when it comes to commitment, men shy away and then the situation is reversed.

We usually think that being chased by a man gives a woman an ego boost. But even the reverse of this is true. Men like to chase because it boosts their ego too. Men like the chase better because it involves no responsibilities. When you are trying to impress a girl, you don't have to provide her a home or think about bringing up babies with her. You don't even have to compromise on your life with your friends to attend her sister's birthday party.

When we say that men like to chase, we are telling half of the truth. Men like to chase because women like to be chased. If women don't play hard to get, men would have no chance to pursue them and both would be bored to death.
