Many men wonder why women seem to fall in love with handsome men during their teens but later on they prefer to marry well settled men instead of handsome men.

Men struggle to figure out what women want. Though nobody can figure out the mystery of women, certain studies reveal that women go through several phases in their lives and each phase make them prioritise certain aspects over others.
A study conducted on 45,000 women threw light on certain aspects of women's preferences. Women were divided into 4 groups. The first group consisted of women in the age group 17-25, the second was 25-35, the third was 35-45 and the fourth was 45-55.

The first group said they desired for handsome and heroic men, the second group desired for level headed, intelligent men, the third group preferred a well settled man, the last group preferred a wise, enlightened man. Now, let us understand why women seem to ditch handsome men and marry well settled men.
Some Handsome Men Aren't Stable
When a guy is good looking, he may obviously be surrounded with lots of women. He might have too many temptations to resist. He may fall in the trap of attractions and this is why women perceive a handsome man as unstable in the long run.
Some Handsome Men Aren't Settled
Just because a man is handsome, it doesn't mean his career would be stable and secure. On the other side, handsome men think less about their careers and first about the freely available pleasures. So, women perceive them as inefficient providers in the long run.
Some Handsome Men Have Egos
Good looks may also add pride to the personality. Being around a proud or an egotistic man for long is impossible. So, women may sooner or later walk out of such a man's company.
Some Settled Men Are Stable Though Not Handsome
As a woman matures, she realises the practical side of life and the importance of security. That is when she would prefer stable men instead of going for good looks.
Some Settled Men Have An Artistic Lifestyle
Most of the settled men can afford a healthier and beautiful lifestyle as they don't need to sweat out much to make a living. Obviously, any woman would want a peaceful life after marriage as good looks and attractions can fade.
Mature Men Know What A Women Wants
The real men would always put their selfishness aside to do something for their women. On the other hand, handsome men expect women to do everything for them.
Mature Men Give Space
Mature, well-settled men offer enough space to their women as they have enough life experience which made them realise that people need space to live happy and healthy.
