Yereyappa is a traditional Karnataka-style sweet dish that hails from Udupi. It is also known as the sweet dosa and is prepared by grinding soaked rice and grated coconut and mixing it with jaaggeryjaggery syrup to form the batter. This batter is then made into a dosa.

Yereyappa is an ideal snack for children, as it is sweet and fluffy. It is a South Indian version of a pancake and iscan be eaten just as is. However, you can add honey or maple syrup to go with it as extra flavouring. The yereyappa can also be deep fried in oil, making it extremely rich and heavy. In this recipe, we are making pancake -style dosas keeping it light and healthy.

Sweet dosa or vellam dosa is a simple recipe that can be prepared in a jiffy, once the rice is soaked. It does not take too much of your kitchen time and is also a favourite among the children.
