Potato grilled sandwich is a popular breakfast recipe that is prepared in most households. It is also eaten as a mid-day or evening snack. The grilled aloo sandwich can be prepared with a cheesy aloo masala grilled with bread in a toaster.
The aloo masala grilled sandwich is a favourite among children and is an ideal snack box or even a lunch-box meal. The crispy bread with butter oozing out and the spicy potato filling makes this dish utterly delicious.

POTATO GRILLED SANDWICH VIDEO RECIPE

Boiled potato (peeled and cut into cubes) - 1 cup
Grated mozzarella cheese - 1/2 cup
Coriander chutney - 4 tbsp
Tamarind chutney - 4 tbsp
Coriander (finely chopped) - 1 tbsp
Chaat masala powder - 3 tsp
Black pepper (crushed) - to taste
Sandwich bread - 4 slices
Butter - 2 cubes

1. Add the boiled potato cubes in a bowl.
2. Add the grated mozzarella cheese on it.
3. Add the coriander and tamarind chutneys.
4. Then, add the chopped coriander leaves.
5. Add chaat masala powder and the crushed black pepper.
6. Mix well.
7. Apply butter on the bread slices.
8. Spread a few spoons of the masala on the buttered side of the slice.
9. Place another slice in a toaster, such that the buttered side is at the bottom.
10. Flip and place the masala-filled slice on top, like a closed sandwich.
11. Apply butter on top and close the toaster.
12. Toast the sandwich for 5-8 minutes on medium heat.
13. Once it turns golden brown, remove it from the toaster and serve.
- 1. The potato must be pressured cooked in water for up to1-2 whistles, depending on the quantity.
- 2. You can use mint chutney and date chutney instead of the coriander and tamarind chutneys to give it a different flavour.
