1. If your child remembers the Mc donalds or KFC or his favorite ice cream parlor symbols, it means that the child can remember colors and words. Try making this a learning session and teach him letters and colors.

2. If you are planning to teach your toddler, do not plan timings as your child may not be interested when you want to teach. Bank on the time when he is in a mood to learn.

3. Picture books is best to start with. Make your own story of the picture and narrate it to your toddler. He will enjoy the colorful toons as well as listen to the stories. Helps a great way in teaching.

4. Start with numbers 1-10 and teach him playing games like ludo or numbering each stair of the house and making him climb up and shout the number loud. The kid will enjoy it and as well learn.

5. While teaching alphabets say A – Amma/ M – Ma, this way your kid will relate alphabets and learn well.

6. Make simple songs of the alphabets and numbers and check for other simple rhymes, make him/her sing and he will grasp it in no time.
