Now, how do I know if something is wrong with my foetus? During pregnancy, there are many screening tests and scan facilities that help expectant mothers to know how the baby's growth is progressing in her womb. In spite of all these tests, there are times when you are very careful and healthy, but still, things go wrong with the foetus.
Do You Feel Your Baby Kicking?
Today medicine has reached far heights. So it is easy to find the complications if any, before the situations worsen, provided you report the symptoms appropriately. During your first visit to the doctor during pregnancy, your complete history is recorded, so that birth defects can be avoided. This medical history also includes family diseases and medication taken by you. It is necessary to immediately consult your doctor without any delay during these danger signs of pregnancy.

Bleeding During Pregnancy
Be cautions during pregnancy & check for symptoms like bleeding. Bleeding during the first trimester of pregnancy is quite normal, however, if this continues during the second and third trimester, it is a danger signs of pregnancy. A vaginal bleeding with severe cramping pain in the lower abdomen and tissues passing through the vagina could be a sign of miscarriage. It is the body's way of dealing with unhealthy pregnancy that was not developing further.

Ectopic Pregnancy
Ectopic pregnancy occurs, when the foetus resides somewhere outside the uterus, usually the fallopian tubes. Severe cramping pain in the lower stomach, sharp abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding and lower level of hCG are the danger signs of pregnancy in such mothers.

Lack Of Foetal Movement
During the second trimester, you feel the foetal movement in the form of flutters. However, foetal movement increases in the form of kicks and punches during the third trimester and are evidently seen outside as well. Now, how do I know if something is wrong with my foetus? Though, these foetal movements slow down towards the end of pregnancy, a lack of foetal movement is very concerning. During the third trimester you need to be very cautious about the baby's movements. Some doctors even ask you to count the number of movements that you can feel every few hours. Lack of foetal movement should be immediately informed to the doctor and an ultrasound needs to be performed to monitor the foetal movements and heartbeat. It is always good to be safe than being sorry later, because if this condition occurs towards the end of pregnancy, the doctor can even advise to immediately go for a C-Section to save the baby. This danger sign of pregnancy can never be ignored.

Brady Cardia
This is the worst complications during pregnancy. A sustained first trimester heart rate below 100 beats per minute (bpm), is considered brady cardiac. Heart rates of less than 90 bpm in the first trimester are considered to have dismal prognosis and transferring to a tertiary centre with cardiology support is often recommended here.
