Things About Labour You Won't Know
When your are pregnant, you start planning for the delivery and postnatal stage. However, when you are in your last trimester, you start worrying about labor. Every pregnant woman prepares herself to experience the first labour of her life. To get some ideas on labour, pregnant women stay hooked to books. However, every pregnancy book will not give you detailed information about the overall labour experience. There are few things that your doctor or nurse won't tell you either. So, if you are in your third trimester and waiting for labor, keep these things in mind.
Things others won't tell about labor:

Pooping: This is one of the ugliest and embarrassing thing that you can experience during childbirth. Due to the exertion of pressure, many women poop on the hospital bed while delivering. Well, you can avoid this embarrassing moment during childbirth by avoiding solid foods before the labour time. Many doctors suggest that pregnant women should have lots of fluids and liquid from early labour. So, once the early labour signs are visible, start having lots of fluids and liquids. It cleanses the system and prevents pooping during childbirth.
Vomiting, diarrhea and labour together: This is one thing that no one will tell you. During childbirth, many women suffer from an upset stomach and thus end up vomiting. Even diarrhea is common during labour. The ugly scene of seeing the placenta and smelling medicines can make a tensed women in labour throw up!
High blood pressure: This is one health problem that can be really harmful for a woman. Constant pushing and screaming increases the blood pressure. This high blood pressure can last for a few days or can become a permanent problem too! So, be very calm when you are trying to push out the baby.
Menstruation for more than a month: During pregnancy, menstruation stops. So after nine months, the menstruation period can last for more than 2 weeks and go till 2 months! Once you get over the month long periods, many women do not get periods for a year or long after childbirth.
Pain even after childbirth: If you think that labour pain will reduce after childbirth then you might not know that the pain will remain for few days or weeks even post delivery. So, expect some pain in the lower abdomen even after childbirth. Take rest to overcome the pain.
There are three stages of labour; early labour, active labour and transition. These are few things that no one will tell you about labour. Be careful from the time you get early signs of labour.
