Avoid These Food During Pregnancy

Food to avoid during pregnancy -
1.Unpasteurized Milk - The first on the list is unpasteurized milk. Your pregnancy diet should include milk but should be pasteurized, as unpasteurized milk contains bacteria called listeria, which has been proved to lead to miscarriage.
2.Raw Egg - Raw egg is yet another food to avoid during pregnancy. Raw egg is used in ice cream, cake, mayonnaise etc and these should never be on your list of pregnancy diet. Raw egg may contain Salmonella, which is one of the main agents of food poisoning.
3.Fish – Fish diet is good for pregnancy but certain fishes like salmon, shark, swordfish, mackerel and tuna should be avoided as they have high concentration of mercury which has a ill effect on the child's nervous system. It may also lead to brain damage of the child.
4.Soft Cheese – While dairy product is good for pregnancy diet, food to avoid during pregnancy include soft cheese. Different forms of soft cheese are blue cheese, feta and brie. Soft cheese are usually made of unpasteurized milk which as mentioned earlier has several health risks. Soft cheese can be replaced by yogurt.
5.Alcohol – last but not the least on the list of food to avoid during pregnancy is alcohol. Alcohol consumption during pregnancy has worst effects on the baby's health like low weight, visual problems, abnormalities and deformed organs.
