When Is The Best Time To Get Pregnant?
A family will not be complete without the giggles of a baby. For some women, it is easy. But for some, getting pregnant is a bit difficult due to various reasons. There are many women who complain about infertility even when they don’t have any known medical reason. If you are one among those women who long for a baby, but fail to find out why you are not getting pregnant, this article is for you.
Making love blindly is not the rule, when it comes to getting pregnant. Doing it in the right time is the key. Yes! It is the time when you ovulate. A timed intercourse when your eggs are released will help you hit the target. Your fertile window is the most effective time to have sex, which can last up to six days every month. SIGNS YOU ARE FERTILE
If you have a 28 day cycle, your probable date of ovulation is the 14th day. So, three days prior to this day and three days after this day are the crucial timings. This is considered as the best fertile period for getting pregnant. Every woman varies in their physiological cycle and so, here are some points that may help you to find out your ovulation day.
WHEN TO TAKE THE PREGNANCY TEST?

Know your cycle: You normally ovulate two weeks after the first day of your period. When counting from the first day, it will be day 14. Sperm can live up to 6-7 days, while eggs survive only for 12 to 24 hours. Have intercourse on alternate days; three days prior to ovulation and three days after ovulation.
Chart Basal body temperature: Basal body temperature charting is helpful not to predict ovulation, but to find whether you have ovulated. But, doing this regularly for some months will give you an idea about the most possible day. This works by charting the temperature differences during a menstrual cycle.
Examine cervical mucus: Your cervix will secrete an increasing amount of mucus when you are ovulating. The best time to get pregnant is when your cervical mucus is stretchy and clear, like the consistency of egg white. Plan your intercourse when you notice this change.
Ovulation predictor kits (OPKs): OPKs are the most efficient method to find out the best fertile period for getting pregnant. This work by testing the levels of Luteinising Hormone (LH) in your urine. Ovulation may occur 12 to 36 hours after the LH surge.
Ultra sound scanning: The best fertile period for getting pregnant can be found out by ultra sound scanning as well. This is done by follicular study, which will help find out the increase in the size of your ovum and thus predicting the day of ovulation.
