Tips On Getting Baby To Sleep -
1. Some basics like sleeping, eating cannot be forced on babies but parents can develop the art of putting babies to sleep by creating a cosy environment that will make them feel sleepy.
2. Sometimes parents need to sleep or at least act like sleeping with babies to hint them that it is their napping time. The act will imbibe good habits in children that will continue all their life.
3. Try to know and understand your baby as it will help you to know what it likes and when it feels drousy etc. Personal experiences are better than a stranger's nap training advice.
4. Decide where baby sleeps best. There is no right or wrong place for babies to sleep. Wherever all family members sleep the best is the right arrangement for you and your baby. Some babies sleep best in their own crib in their own room, some sleep better in their own bassinet or crib in the parents' bedroom, other babies sleep best snuggled right next to mommy in the parents' bed.
5. Getting your baby used to a variety of sleep associations like cradle, rocker and music will create a warm feel to the child.
6. For a consistent daily nap routine, try to make your family maintain a proper bed timings. This will make your baby's sleep timings comfortable and predictable for the mother.
