Baby Care: How To Diaper Babies?

Baby Diaper
Changing diapers is also a skill as your baby shouldn't feel the discomfort in the process. It should be easy, fast and not too disturbing for the infant. Today, we have planned to help all the just mommies and daddies to take a good care of their babies and enjoy the stage. Take a look.

It is not very difficult if you plan to become an expert baby diaper changer. You need to first prepare yourself for diapering like wash hands well with an anti bacterial and germ free soap. The next thing would be maintaining a bag or a basket for baby diaper items like diaper cover, pins, waterproof pants, talcum powder/ baby powder, baby wipes, cotton, towels, hand sanitizers etc.

Keep the basket or bag away from the baby's reach as he may chew or open all that he finds. Here are the baby diapering steps.

1. You need to first make your baby feel that changing diapers is fun. Sing songs and give him toys so that he keeps playing while you are busy wrapping him with the new one.

2. The umbilical cord needs to fall off so until then fold the diaper in a way where the area is exposed and dry.

3. Dispose the used diaper by folding and retaping it in a plastic bag. Store the used ones in the closed garbage bin so that your baby cannot see or open it.

4. Now wash your hands well again so that it prevents the baby from any kind of infection. Never leave the pins or open bottles near baby as he may meddle when you are away.

5. Using baby wipes, clean the diaper area well and apply powder to prevent rashes that happen due to dampness. You can also use a wet cotton to get rid of the feces and urine.

6. Do not wrap the new diaper too tight as it may irritate the baby's skin. If you are using a cotton cloth as a diaper then wrap it in such a way that baby can comfortably move. See to it you have thicker layer on the peeing area (for boys on the penis). These simple steps are good baby care tips too.

Now use a hand sanitizer to clean hands and baby diapering is done.
