According to a Bloomberg report, US consumer spending unexpectedly flatlined in December, signalling growing pressure on households amid a rising cost of living. Investors are now looking to the labour market data for clearer signals on the health of the US economy and the Federal Reserve's potential policy direction in the coming months.
