Survey Reveals Mental Illness High Among Smokers; Natural Remedies That Helps To Quit Smoking

For those of you who think, smoking that butt helps to relieve stress, then you are completely wrong. A recent survey has found that smokers are a greater risk of developing mental illness.
The survey titled 'Choose Life' was conducted in five cities by two chest physicians. The survey was conducted at Mumbai, Delhi, Lucknow, Kolkata and Bangalore.
For the study, 1,000 men aged 25 to 50 years were taken into consideration. Of these, half were chronic smokers who smoked at least 10 cigarettes a day and the rest were non-smokers (the control group).
According to the study mental stress was 178% higher among smokers compared to non-smokers. Also, 25% smokers complained of broken sleep in comparison to 3% non-smokers.
Around 63% smokers confessed they had mood swings in comparison to 26% non-smokers. Headaches, sore eyes were more common among smokers (77% ) than non-smokers (47%).
Yet another alarming finding was that more than 65% men who smoked cigarettes had high blood pressure and 4 out of 5 smokers had higher levels of carbon monoxide (CO) as compared to non-smokers. There are the two factors that can have a serious impact on physical and mental health.
