Did you know that smoking up weed is kind of legal in these countries? Check out the list!
Rules for possessing and growing weed and other drugs vary from country to country. Even though weeds, or marijuana, are used as medicinal drugs to some extent, it is not being legalized completely.
However, here is a list of countries, where it is all cool and okay for people to possess drugs in a certain quantity.
Carrying these drugs even in public in these countries that have passed on the rules will not land a person into trouble!

India
Though Marijuana is banned in India, it is widely used in the form of ‘bhang'. It is widely cultivated on the Indian ghats and is often consumed as thandai, which is a traditional drink which people relish during the festival of Holi. ‘Uttarakhand', which is a state in India, legalised cannabis cultivation but only for industrial purposes.

The Netherlands
When marijuana cultivation became legal in this country, it became easier for the coffee shops to procure and sell marijuana at their counters. It is just like lighting up a bud!

Spain
This is a heaven on earth for smokers, as the Spanish are free to grow cannabis for private consumption! There are legal ‘weed dens' found across Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia, and these clubs invite strict memberships.

Colorado
Here, both locals and tourists can buy and possess up to 28 grams of weed for their personal use. There are many cannabis-friendly hotels and dispensaries that allow people to light up whenever they wish to!

Uruguay
The law in this place directs people to be the residents of the country to use weeds, and the other condition is that the person should be over the age of 18 to legally buy marijuana here!

Peru
If you are caught with over 8 grams of cannabis, then there are chances of you getting into legal trouble! While you can use marijuana for personal use, growing and selling of it is prohibited.

Jamaica
Residents of this place can also grow up to five plants, especially for the use of religious purposes. It plays a very important role in ‘Rastafarian culture' where most of the traditions are rooted in the use of ‘wisdom weed.'

Argentina
Even though cultivation, sale, and transportation of the drug are illegal here, it is decriminalised. Locals are allowed to smoke a bong in the privacy of their homes band.

Alaska
People who are above the age of 21 can possess up to 28 grams of weed. They can also grow up to six plants of marijuana as long it's done in private. Sounds cool, right?

Maine
People of this place feel that they are in heaven, as the Mainers won the right to possess a whopping 71 grams of marijuana! It is literally double the limit that people can possess in other countries!
