10 Things Only An NRI Does In India
When an NRI returns to India, there are some things which drastically change. The way they talk, the way they behave and more importantly how fast they forget they are Indians by birth. More than foreigners, it is the NRIs who make it seem like India is not so good place to live in and in turn, they feel that India is one of the worst countries to live in after they have left foreign shores.
There are some NRIs who go way out of their league and behave inappropriately which is kind of disturbing to Indians. There are things only an NRI does in India which is rather funny and absurd.

Made up Accent
The made up accent is something which is uncontrollably funny. NRIs who return to India have the made up accents at least for a week or more, just to tell the other person he was educated in the States or a foreign country.
Change In Sports
The change of sports is one of the most annoying things only an NRI does in India. The love for hockey and cricket cannot match up for their love of NBA and soccer.
Can't Stand Spicy Food
They begin to magically tear up when spicy food is eaten, which is rather strange, since Indians are known for their spicy dishes and NRIs being Indians just cannot withstand the spice!
The Thirst For Bottled Water
One of the things only NRI does in India is to look out for only bottled water. Ordinary water makes them feel uneasy and unhealthy too.
Too Much Of Pollution/ Traffic
They cannot seem to get around the black smoke and the busy traffic on every street in India. Busy roads scare them and they are definitely not used to the right hand steering wheel in a car.
Tissues, tissues and only tissues
The need of tissues has become a trend and going to the loo without that roll of toilet paper somehow feels illegal. This is one of the things only an NRI does in India.
The Monstrous Stray Animals
If they see a cow on the road, which is supposed to be grazing, they feel like they just ran into a dinosaur. This is quite annoying and hilarious too.
It's dirty everywhere
Before they left India, it was dirty, and now when they have returned, the place has got a little more filthier according to them. The constant covering of the nose to avoid the pungent smell is one of the things only NRI does in India.
Coke Is Water
One of the things only NRI does in India is to get accustomed to their black water which is Coke, and to make it more specific, they only drink Diet coke!
Usage Of Words
If you come across an NRI, notice the way he/she speaks. A sudden change of words will leave you off guard and blinking! Words like - Yep for yes, Nope for no, yoghurt for curds, cab for taxi, cookies for biscuit and much more.
