What Affects Your Self-Control?

Just imagine yourself as a hungry waiter who is surrounded by delicious food, but not allowed to sample any, for fear of being fired. If some kinds of luxury items have been shown on to you, you will be ready to spend for them, since you are exhausted of your self-control and restraints.
This is because as a waiter you were imagining on what other people will think of you if you taste the food. You wanted to taste the food, but controlled it due to fear. However if you were imaging yourself as a waiter, who can taste the food, you wouldn't have lost your self-control on luxury items.
When you feel that other people are exerting self-control, your concentration and memory power will also get affected. Psychologists in Yale University had conducted this research.
