Rapper Badshah Announces Separation From Isha Rikhi, Five Months After Wedding
Five months after their wedding was confirmed, Badshah has ended the speculation himself. On Monday evening, the rapper took to his Instagram Story to confirm that he and Punjabi actress Isha Rikhi have separated.
The statement was brief and deliberate. Badshah wrote that the two had mutually decided to part ways and move forward on separate paths, and asked fans and media to respect their privacy during this time. It marks the first time either of them has directly addressed the state of their marriage, after weeks of unconfirmed reports and viral wedding photos that neither had formally acknowledged until now.
A Marriage That Was Never Loudly Announced
Badshah and Isha reportedly married in an intimate ceremony in March 2026, after dating for close to four years. There was no public confirmation at the time - just wedding pictures that surfaced through Isha's mother, Poonam Rikhi, showing the couple in traditional attire and wedding rituals. Isha later confirmed the relationship and marriage herself, sharing a photograph and referring to Badshah as her husband.
It was Badshah's second marriage. He was previously married to Jasmine, whom he met online; that marriage ended in divorce in 2020, and the two share a daughter, Jessemy Grace Masih Singh.
Isha Rikhi, 32, is known for her work in Punjabi cinema, including Jatt Boys Putt Jattan De and Happy Go Lucky, alongside a Bollywood debut in Nawabzaade.
The Note That Preceded The Split
The separation announcement did not come out of nowhere. In July, Isha shared an emotional note on social media that hinted at trouble in the marriage, well before either had confirmed a split. In it, she described having lived in fear, and spoke of feeling overwhelmed by what she called her husband's influence and power. She also suggested that her earlier silence had been a means of survival rather than acceptance, and indicated she was prepared to share her side of the story.
Badshah has not addressed that note directly. His statement on Monday focused only on confirming the separation, framing it as a mutual decision made with respect, and asking that there be no further speculation about the relationship.
Bottomline
What began as a quietly held wedding is ending the same way it started, with more said in photographs and social media notes than in public statements. Badshah's confirmation closes one chapter of the speculation, even as questions around Isha's July note remain unanswered. For now, both have asked for the same thing: space, and no further assumptions.
