He Is The Only Male Northern White Rhino In The World!
Sudan is the only male Northern White Rhino alive on this planet!! Check out the measures the Government is taking to keep this breed alive.
With so many species of birds and animals getting extinct due to the involvement of mankind, we only hope humans take the right step in protecting these endangered species.
Amidst all this, it is heartbreaking to know that there is ONLY one male Northern white rhino alive on this planet!
Check out on how the caretakers are trying to get it mated along with the two female rhinos, as these three rhinos are the only species which are alive in the world.
Read on to know more about the difficulties that the authorities are facing to save this rare breed.

He Is 42 Years Old
He is the world's only remaining male of his kind. Sudan is already 42 years old and is seeing his final years under armed guard that is safeguarding him from poachers.

Northern White Rhinos Were Poached Earlier Due To This…
Rhinos are targeted by poachers. The reason is said to be a belief in Asia that the horns of these rhinos cure various ailments. Experts also claim that the rhino horn is becoming more lucrative than drugs. Hence, the animals are under 24-hour protection by armed guards.

Doctors Claim That They Are Healthy, But Aged…
Doctors claimed that all the three northern white rhinos are physiologically healthy, but age is a factor that is stopping them from mating.

Sudan's Back & Legs Are Weak...
It is reported that Sudan's back and legs are weak due to his age and his sperm count is also very low. Hence, the chances of Sudan being able to mate with a female of his breed is very less.

Doctors Are Trying Other Methods
The medics believe that the artificial methods could still save this species. One of the options is to artificially inseminate the southern white female rhino to create a cross-bred offspring.
Hope to see that the animal does not become extinct. What's your take on this? Do share your thoughts with us in the comment section below.
