Can you imagine yourself lying dead for years and people not bothering to give you a proper funeral?

There are so many people who die every second, but they are given a proper cremation before they fade away from the minds of their respective friends and family. But what if a person has been lying dead for years together, and that too unattended?

There are so many such cases of dead people who were found years after their death. This makes us wonder as to what type of world we live in, where a person gets to know about the death of their friends or family members only years later, and this is no joke!

Check out the stories of these sad people who had to literally wait for years before they were finally discovered. What's more saddening is that fact that it was not their relatives who found them, but the officials who were doing their job!

Can you beat this! She was found 42 years after she had died. As the picture looks like a movie scene, it turns to be more creepy. The woman was reported missing in 1966 and since then, nobody ever discovered her. She was found dead with her remains sitting on a chair facing the black and white TV while her cup of tea was next to her! Woah!

An Elderly Man Found After 15 Years!
He was discovered 15 years later by a health safety inspector who visited a house to inspect it. They found a skeleton still in pajamas. According to the authorities, no missing person was reported and hence, it was concluded that he had no friends or family.

German Found After 7 Years Of His Death!
Similar to the previous case, a 54-year-old German was found dead in his flat for 7 long years and had cigarettes and other food items around his body. The autopsy report suggested that he had died of natural causes. The strangest part is though the man's flat was at one of the busiest places, nobody found out about his death.

Woman Found After 8 Years!
The skeletal remains of an Australian woman was found by the authorities when they broke open into a home. The woman was apparently receiving government benefits and it was untouched. She had died of natural causes.

David Walker Was Found 4 Years Later!
David had many friends and a beautiful family. One fine day, he lied to them and told them that he was moving to a different state. But, apparently he shot himself and the authorities found his dead body only 4 years later!
