WIFW'15: Aditi Rao Walks For Payal Singhal
Payal Singhal's WIFW 2015 collection is titled 'Firdaus'. It is dedicated to the Gulmarg valley of Kashmir that was described as a 'paradise' by an ancient poet. 'Firdaus' is the Urdu word for paradise and thus, the title of the collection. This collection does not use typical Kashmiri embroidery. In fact, it is completely monochromatic.
Payal Singhal's WIFW 2015 collection is based on the inspiration of 'Stone' and 'Black'. There was the glint of gold, creamy white and sheer black that formed the colour palate of this collection. The forms used by the designer were also very interesting. There was a crop top with a skirt and churidar combination that looked novel. You could also see it as a churidar kurta with cut out details.

Another interesting element in this collection was the use of sheer organza to create an illusive back view for the outfits. Make of the tunics and kurtas were made of silk in the front but the back was see through because it was made of organza. The sequinned designs on the yolk of the kurtas was also stand out.

Aditi Rao Hydari was at WIFW 2015 as the showstopper for Payal Singhal. She is the first celebrity showstopper to be seen at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week 2015 Spring Summer. She was dressed in a black and gold lehenga choli. The golden choli had razor cut sleeves and the lehenga was made of black silk and tulle. It has golden embellishments on it.

All in all, Payal Singhal's collection for WIFW 2015 is creative and our only gripe is that we like the other outfits of the collection more than the showstopper's outfit.
