Lara Dutta Ruffles Up In Gauri & Nainika

Lara Dutta has just landed herself the anchoring of the Miss Diva show wherein she will be grooming 15 contestants for becoming Miss Universe. This beauty reality show had a curtain raiser yesterday where we spotted the anchor looking radiant in a blue gown. Lara Dutta was in Gauri and Nainika gown that was cobalt blue in colour.

Lara Dutta looked radiant in this gown that had a closed neckline and fishtail finish. The only thing that struck us as odd was the ruffles on the sleeves. It is true that ruffles and structured bodices are a signature of Gauri and Nainika. However, we personally do not like ruffles much. Besides, the ruffle should be subtle and not very prominent.

But here, the ruffles on both sides of sleeves make Lara Dutta's ensemble top heavy. The former Miss Universe looked broader than she is. Coupled with the hairdo, this gown makes Lara Dutta look heavier than she is. Not a very good choice compared to her past few appearances. We spotted Lara Dutta in a Gaurav Gupta gown which looked much more becoming of her.

Lara went for a stylish side parted bun with this gown. Her hair was permed and pulled back into a very voluminous bun. She wore drop down sapphire earrings to match the blue colour of her dress. All in all, this look failed to impress us to a great extent. Lara Dutta can do much better and we have seen evidence of that before.
