Jacqueline Walks For Shehla On Day 2 Of LFW
Day 2 of LFW 2013 was a visual bonanza. And why not, the queen of lace and nets, Shehla Khan was supposed to present her collection today. So far we have seen glamour and innovation in the Lakme Fashion Week 2013. On Day 2 of LFW it was out turn to see fantasy and romance. Yes, ‘fairytale' is the perfect word for Shehla Khan's collection.
Keeping with the fantastic and romantic theme of her collection, Shehla Khan titled it ‘Tales Of Unexpected'. And the mesmerising layers of net work that we saw in her designs was truly ‘unexpected'. But one thing was just as expected. Shehla Khan's Lakme Fashion Week 2013 collection made heavy use of lace as always.
Day 2 of LFW 2013 was rocked by Shehlaa's showstopper Jacqueline Fernandez. She wore a lovely pale pink lace outfit with floral details. The showstopper Jacqueline Fernandez was wearing a lace lehenga choli. The choli was a plain pale pink tube. The lehenga was made of layers of lace that had floral patterns on it. Jacqueline Fernandez wore a massive pearl collar necklace to complete the fantasy look.
These are some of the best designs handpicked from Shehla Khan's collection on Day 2 of LFW 2013.

The Navy Blue Start
The show began with a series of navy blue outfits. We particularly liked this wrap dress that had a plunging neckline and thigh-high slit skirt. The cocktail was very typically Shehla Khan with a layered lace silhouette.

Navy Blue Saree
This plain navy blue silk saree from Shehla Khan was a master piece. The fall of the material was such that the saree draped over a simple sleeve-less blouse looked like a Greek toga.

Peter Pan Collar
These two dresses make excellent use of the Peter Pan collar. The long dress also has slit neckline and lovely floral detailing.

Mauve Jumpsuits
The next segment of ‘Tales Of The Unexpected' was mauve in colour. These two pain and floor-length jumpsuits were mauve in colour. The slim belt added a feel of winter to these outfits.

Flowers n Lace
The core theme of this fantasy collection was to present floral details in the fabric of lace. These two outfits capture the vein of the collection very well. The cocktail dress is very similar to the navy blue one we saw before.

Scooped Pink Dress
Shehla Khan has used a range of feminine colours for her collection. So we move to pink from mauve. This floor-length dress has floral details and a scooped cleavage.

Lace Sheath Dress
This is one of our favourite dresses from the collection. The dress consists of a mini dress in pink and a lace sheath over it. The floral details on the net sheath are exquisite.

Pink Jumpsuits
These 2 pink jumpsuits are extremely uptown and set the mood for the season. The full-sleeved jumpsuit is all covered up for winter. And the strapless jumpsuit makes excellent use of the Peter Pan collar again.

Paint Me Red
From pink, the collection now moves on to red. The pleated shirt and red lace top is a particularly smart outfit. The body suit dress is high on the bling element.

Black, White n Red
The lace in the collection now becomes all the more obvious. All these 3 outfits are very trendy and made extensive use of lace. The red jumpsuit has black lace embroidery all over.

White Fairies
These two are certainly among the best outfits in Shehla Khan's collection. No one can beat Shehlaa in the use white lace. The off-shoulders looks like a bridal dress that has Indian embroidery on it.

Aqua Blue Lace
Shehla Khan makes novel use of golden embroidery with white and aqua blue lace in these outfits. The combination is unconventional and yet, it works a fresh magic of its own.

Enamel Pink Outfits
These two outfits seem to be inspired from the pink lotus. The use of layers of enamel pink lace gives a textured appearance to the outfits. The transparent lace skirts are worn over full-length leggings.

Jacqueline Fernandez
Jacqueline Fernandez was the showstopper for Shehla Khan. She wore a pale pink lace lehenga choli. The choli is like a tube top. The lehenga is pale pink and made of lace. It has floral details on it.
