Berggruen Hotels’ KEY Stars

Sanjay Sethi, CEO & Managing Director, Berggruen Hotels, said, "We are extremely pleased with our progress since the launch of the Keys brand earlier in 2007. The company is focused on expanding its reach across the country to meet the accommodation needs of the budget traveler and is actively pursuing multiple locations in twenty five other sites in the country which include Chennai, Hyderabad and Delhi/NCR amongst others."
"Budget hotels are the latest trend in the hospitality industry due to consumers demand for value for money products which also takes care of most functionalities. Berggruen hotels intend to tap this potential market so as to derive the best from this trend" says Mr. Sethi.
The Keys Hotels will be contemporary business hotels and facilities in the rooms will include central air-conditioning, a tea/coffee maker, minibar, iron and iron board, ISD dialling, LCD TV and a work table with an ergonomic chair. The rooms will be WIFI enabled.
All Keys resorts will have a touch of local ethnic flavor and the services will also include an Ayurvedic Spa and massage centre as well as a swimming pool, entertainment area and conference spaces.
Lady travellers will have a video screening facility in the rooms and all public areas will be monitored on close circuit televisions for added security. This feature makes Berggruen hotels the preferred choice for lady travelers looking towards security and value for money options.
Bergeron Hotels will operate 38 hotels (4200 rooms) evenly distributed across tier 1, 2 and 3 locations pan India, each with 100 to 170 rooms and a company turnover in excess of Rs. 350 crore in the next 5 years.
The group will also be foraying in the international markets. Recently, a delegation including Managing Director & CEO Sanjay Sethi and Chief Operator Officer of Berggruen's International Division, Atul Lall visited several countries in the MENA region to meet with strategic partners, members of local tourism boards and government officials to discuss the expansion opportunities in countries like Egypt, Morocco, Turkey and the UAE.
