So when the waste is not let out it provides a breeding ground for the bacteria to further multiply and increases the chances of infection to spread. This causes a lot of health hazards.

1. Urinary Tract Infection:
Holding in large amounts of urine for an extended period of time also exposes your body to potentially harmful bacteria, which can increase your chances of getting a urinary tract infection (UTI) or bladder infection.
2. Pain While Urinating:
When you hold back urine for a long period of time and if this is continued for long then it causes constant and strong pain while you urinate.
When you hold back urine for long the bacteria in the urine fails to get removed from the body. This in turn causes fever.
4. Bladder Swelling & Cancer:
When you consume water the bladder slowly gets filled up. So when the water is not let out of the body in the form of urine, it causes swelling of the bladder and if left untereated it can cause bladder cancer as well.
Water aids in cleaning the kidneys. But when the urine is held back for long it can cause serious effects on the kidneys. It can lead to the formation of kidney stones. This can also cause pain.
Cystitis is an infection caused around the urinary tract. This is a major problem caused mostly among women. It causes inflammation around the bladder walls.
7. Lower Abdomen Pain:
It might be surprising but when you hold back your urine for long it can cause severe to mild pain in the lower abdomen.
8. Stomach Infection:
When you hold back the urine for long it not just causes pain but there is a risk for developing stomach infection as well. The germs present in the urine fail to move out and this causes stomach infection.
