Do you need to buy a water filter in order to enjoy alkaline water at home? No, you can actually prepare your alkaline water on your own.
When your body loses acid alkaline balance, your health may turn vulnerable. When the acid levels go haywire, that is when you feel tired all the time without any reason.
Your digestive system may also get affected. Even unwanted weight gains may follow. You may just need to restore the balance by bringing down the acid levels.

Here is one method to prepare alkaline water and keep your system healthy.

Ingredients
A cucumber, a lemon, a handful of mint leaves and a small piece of ginger.

How To Prepare
Cut the cucumber into slices. Cut the lemon into 4 pieces. Slice the ginger. Add all of them to a jug of water along with mint leaves. Place the jug in a cool dry place and leave it for a night.

When To Consume?
Drink the water in the morning after waking up. All the ingredients used in the water balance your acid levels.

Why Soak The Ingredients?
The nutrients of the ingredients get infused into the water when you allow them to soak over night.

Can You Drink It Any Time?
Actually, you can carry a water bottle which contains the infused water. You can sip it throughout the day if you can't finish it in one go.
Also, if the water in the jug is over by mid day, you can refill the jug without throwing away the ingredients (lemon, cucumber, mint leaves). But towards evening, you can throw away the ingredients or consume them in any form.

What Really Helps
Cucumber is among the most alkalising foods. The same applies to lemon too. Though lemons contain citric acid, they still have an alkalising effect on the body.
