Here Are Ways In Which You Might Get A Parasitic Infection
Read this article to find out how you can end up with a parasitic infection.
Parasites are organisms that live off other microorganisms or hosts. Some parasites do not noticeably affect their hosts. Others grow, multiply, or reside in the body of the host that makes their hosts sick, leading to a parasitic infection.
Parasitic diseases are a big problem in the tropical and subtropical areas of the world. The signs of parasitic infections vary depending upon the organism. Trichomoniasis is a sexually transmitted infection resulting from parasites that often generate no symptoms.

Giardiasis can cause diarrhoea, gas, upset stomach, greasy faeces and dehydration. Toxoplasmosis could cause flu-like symptoms, including enlarged lymph nodes as well as muscle aches or pains which could last for over a month.
Protozoa are single-celled organisms that may live and multiply within your body. Some diseases due to protozoa include giardiasis. Helminths are multi-celled organisms which will live in your body. Ectoparasites are multicellular organisms that live on or feed off the skin.
There are several ways in which you might get a parasite.

1. Eating Contaminated Food & Drink:
You can end up with parasites when you eat contaminated food and drink contaminated water. We make sure that we have clean food and drinks at home. We generally end up eating and drinking contaminated foods and drinks while travelling.

2. Cat litter:
If you have a cat at home, you must be careful while cleaning its litter as you might end up getting infected with parasites in the process. You should be very careful, especially when you are pregnant as these end up affecting your foetus.

3. Mosquitoes:
Africa and Latin America are known to have patients with parasitic infections more than any place in the world. The most widespread parasitic infection here is malaria. Anopheles mosquitoes carry malaria parasites. Once bitten by these mosquitoes, one ends up with malaria.

4. Head Lice:
You can end up with a parasitic infection if you have kids in school. It is the head lice that causes this infection. When kids get it from school, the whole family ends up getting it.
