Vaginal Bleeding: Causes Every Woman Should Be Aware Of
Most women face vaginal problems like pain in the vagina, yeast infections, smelly discharges, lumps, yeast infections, and urinary tract infections from time to time. A vaginal problem that is a very common concern for females is bleeding from the vagina.
Women should be aware of the reasons of vaginal bleeding and should consult a doctor to get these treated. Tests should be conducted and the problem should be treated from its root as quickly as possible.

Birth control pills can be the reason behind bleeding from the vagina in between menstrual cycles. This bleeding can also be very heavy. This could also cause problems in the hormones which are produced by the ovaries, pituitary, thyroid and adrenal glands.

Vaginal bleeding can be caused by sexually transmitted diseases. Sometimes the bleeding is accompanied by itching and burning sensations in the vagina. This infection sometimes ends up affecting the womb, the fallopian tubes, the cervix, and the ovaries.

Miscarriage also leads to vaginal bleeding. Miscarriage in the earliest stages of pregnancy, when the lady is not even aware that she is pregnant can lead to heavy bleeding from the vagina. Women suffering from hypothyroidism face this issue.

Vaginal bleeding can be due to cysts, tumours, scars, fibroids, along with other tissues which are abnormal to the womb or the cervix. Cysts can either be malignant or benign. Proper tests need to be done and it should be treated accordingly. Surgeries are also essential sometimes.

Heavy and irregular bleeding from the vagina can be as a result of endometriosis. Endometriosis is a condition in which some of the tissue lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, usually in the pelvis or lower abdominal cavity. It ends up causing harm to the reproductive organs.

Perimenopausal women also have to face the issue of excessive bleeding from the vagina. Perimenopause is the time when a woman is just about to approach menopause. Women during this time start getting the symptoms of menopause accompanied by excessive bleeding from the vagina.
