7 Signs That Say You Could Have An Early Menopause
Every woman has to go through the phenomenon of menstruation, right from the beginning, until she attains menopause or the cessation of the monthly periods. There are certain symptoms that let us know that menopause is approaching.
Menopause is a process in which the production of the reproductive hormones stops in a woman's body, bringing about a lot of hormonal fluctuation that result in certain undesirable symptoms.
A woman who is going through menopause stops getting her monthly periods and also experiences certain symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, mood swings, weight gain, increase in body hair, profuse sweating, reduced sex drive, etc.
Menopause is usually experienced by women who are above the age of 45. This phenomenon also indicates the end of the natural fertile period for women and it can cause a few side effects.
However, in rare cases, some women may experience the symptoms of menopause quite early, when they are still younger, say, in their mid-30s!
The early onset of mensuration can cause a lot of health and emotional issues in a woman.
There are certain signs or symptoms that say a woman could experience an early menopause, have a look at them here.

1. Heredity
If your mother or grandmother has experienced an early menopause, it could be a sign of an early menopause for you too, as this condition can be genetic.

2. Surgery
If you have had surgeries on your uterus or ovaries, it can also be a cause for an early menopause because, sometimes, surgeries can lead to hormonal imbalances in the body.

3. Smoking
A cause for an early menopause can be smoking or even secondary smoking, as this vice can decrease the level of oestrogen in a woman's body rapidly.

4. PCOS
Another cause for an early menopause can be hormonal disorders such as polycystic ovarian syndrome that can lead to the depleted production of reproductive hormones in a woman's body.

5. Being Underweight
Early menopause can be caused in women who are underweight, as oestrogen is stored in the fat tissues, and lack of enough oestrogen can lead to an early menopause.

6. Cancer
If a woman has cancer or has been treated for cancer, the medications could lead to the development of certain hormonal abnormalities, causing an early menopause.

7. Epilepsy
An early menopause can also be caused if a woman is suffering from epilepsy, as epileptic seizures can cause hormonal imbalances in a woman's body.
