A weak immune system is bad for your body. However, there are certain simple ways in which you can give a boost to your immune system and protect yourself from a number of diseases.

The first thing that you need to do is stop smoking. If you believe you are doing your heart and lungs a favour by smoking only a little, think again.

The harmful substances in tobacco smoke are carried throughout the body by smoke, interfering with oxygen degrees. They are an ongoing source of harm to cells in the body, and your resistance system must constantly work to fight off this damage.
Exercising daily gives a boost to your resistance system. Physical exercise not only fortifies your cardiovascular system, it enhances your mood, reduces stress and encourages a good immune response within the body.

Exercising gets antibodies and white blood cells moving throughout the body faster, plus, a rise in circulation also can activate the release of hormones that warn immune cells of intruding infections.
The next best way to fortify your immune system is to get enough good quality sleep. You must have noticed you are more prone to catch a cold or other infections when you are not getting sufficient sleep.

Not getting sufficient sleep might lead to secretion of higher degrees of stress hormone. Research has found that our circadian rhythms govern our immunity. Disturbed sleep patterns lead to low immunity. Getting around 7 to 9 hours of sleep for a grownup is a key for good health.
You must eat healthy to strengthen your immune system. You can virtually double your immune system capability to combat diseases with the way you eat. Try eating more leafy greens, vegetables and fruits and drink enough water to keep yourself hydrated.
