When your BP is low, you tend to feel dizzy, weak, cold, cloudy, tired and may also find it difficult to breathe properly. Some of us may have low BP but unless you have alarming symptoms like dizziness and blurred vision, you don't need to worry much.
But what happens if your BP is low for too long? Well, there wouldn't be adequate blood flow to various parts of your body and this may put organs like heart and liver at risk.
Several factors like deficiencies, dehydration, endocrine issues, pregnancy, cardiovascular issues and poor quality of blood may also cause low BP. Also, certain medicines like antidepressants and diuretics may also cause low BP.

Generally, it is better to stay away from liquor and refined carbs if you are suffering from low BP. Also, adequate salt intake is necessary but a doctor might need to confirm the same looking at various other aspects of your life.
Now, let us discuss about a few home remedies.

Beetroot Juice
Juicing a raw beet root is healthy. It can deal with blood pressure issues. Do it 2 times a day both in the morning as well as in the evening.

Salt Water
Salt contains sodium which plays a role in increasing BP. Add a pinch of salt to a cup of water and drink it. But overdoing this remedy could be very dangerous.

Licorice Root
Make licorice tea and consume it once a day. You need to boil its root in water for 4-5 minutes to prepare the tea. It can keep your BP normal.

Raisins
Take a bowl of water and soak some raisins in it every night. After waking up in the morning, eat them and drink the left over water.

Coffee
Drinking coffee can increase your BP but only temporarily. But if you are a caffeine addict, refrain from this remedy.

Lemon
If the low BP is due to dehydration, lemon juice can come for rescue. Mix lemon juice with sugarcane juice.

Carrot Juice
A glass of carrot juice mixed with two drops of honey can be a good home remedy.

Almonds
Every night, soak 3 almonds in milk and paste them in the morning and consume them along with a cup of milk.
