Do you often have sweaty palms and feet that make you feel embarrassed to shake hands with a personal or official guest? This is a common problem which occurs when one sweats more because of the surrounding temperature or the activity level.
Excessive sweating is medically known as hyperhidrosis. Any part of our body can have this,but the most common places that get affected are hands, feet soles, face, underarms, etc.
Genetic reasons are also responsible for excessive sweating. Over-activity of nerves trigger the sweating glands in the body to cause this. Other medical and health conditions or diseases or nutritional deficiencies can aggravate the condition further.
However, you can use certain home remedies to get relief from the excessive sweating of your palms and feet. Here we talk about 5 such remedies:
1. Lemon Juice:
Oneexcellent agent to cure excessive sweating in palms and feetis lemon juice. Pour some lemon juice into a spoon of baking soda and form a paste. Apply it on the sweating parts of your body. Wash it off after 10 minutes. Do this daily. You can also dip a cloth in a mixture of lemon juice and water and rub it all over the body.
2. Apple Cider Vinegar:
This is one of the most effective home remediesto deal with excessive sweating. Its natural astringent properties control excessive sweating by tightening the pores from the outside and also balancing the body's pH level from the inside. It also boosts the body's metabolism to fight problems like overweight issues, which also causes hyperhidrosis. Apply some raw apple cider vinegar (mix it with water if your skin is sensitive) to the parts of your body that sweats a lot and leave it for the entire night. You can also drink apple cider vinegar with some honey mixed with lukewarm water twice a day.
3. Activated Charcoal:
Activated charcoal absorbs the body's moisture and prevents excessive sweating. Mix one teaspoon of activated charcoal with a glass of lukewarm water and drink it on an empty stomach. In case you have problem in taking activate charcoal onanempty stomach, take it after food.
4. Black Tea:
Black tea is an effective remedy for hyperhidrosis. It has tannins that block the pores and stop excessive sweating. Tannins also keep the body temperature cool. Hold moist tea bags in your palms for about five minutes and do this for two to three times in a day. You can also drink two to three cups of tea every day.
5. Tomatoes:
Tomatoes have cooling properties that can also treatthe sweating problemeffectively. These shrink the pores that cause excessive sweating. Drinking tomato juice can also lower the body temperature and it reduces sweating in turn. Make fresh tomato juice and use a cloth to rub it on various parts of the body. Wash it off with lukewarm water. Do this once every day.
