Have you heard of the grandma's home remedies? Well, nowadays, the moment any of us falls ill, the first thing we do is call up the doctor or rush to the nearest clinic. Some of us even go to an extent of using over the counter pills. But there are some people who first try home remedies. Most of such natural remedies are passed on from generation to generation and that is how they reached us.
These grandma's home remedies use natural ingredients which are readily available in your home. They might work and sometimes they may not. They prove good but it is important to remember that they are not substitutes for treatment.
7 Bitter Foods That Cure Indigestion
Another thing to remember is that these home remedies are to be used only for minor issues. In case of serious health issues ,it is recommended to see a doctor and follow the regular process of treatment. In this post, let us discuss about some simple grandma's home remedies.

Cough
Fill a few drops of honey in a teaspoon and fill exactly half of it. Consume it to get relief from cough. This will work in most of the cases.

Nausea
To get rid of nausea, put a slice of lemon or ginger in your mouth and start sucking it slightly. Both lemon and ginger have contain nutrients that can relieve nausea. This is one of the grandma's home remedies.

Sunburn
If you suffer sunburns, apply apple cider vinegar on your skin. Your pain will be gradually relieved. After the sun burn is cured, apply some coconut oil to your skin and take bath.

Burns
In case of burns, use aloe vera. Take a leaf and and apply it on the affected area. This is one of the grandad's home remedies.

Toothache
Apply clove oil to your gums and teeth. This is a good home remedy for those suffering from toothache.

Insomnia
Drink a glass of warm milk before hitting your bed. This is a remedy which has been used since hundreds of years. Milk will surely help you fall asleep.

Liver Problems
Dandelion can be used in tea to cure certain problems related to the liver. Though there is no basis to this treatment, many people still use this as a remedy.

Urinary Tract
Though there is no evidence for this, in the ancient times, people believed that the urinary tract can be healed by cranberries.

Menstruation Problems
Grind 2-3 betel leaves till you get a paste. Consume one spoon-full of this paste along with lukewarm water. After a few seconds, drink a glass of cold water.

Irregular Periods
Take some lemon juice and add a spoon of cinnamon powder to it and consume it every day. This is one of the grand mother home remedies.

Coriander Leaves
Take a few coriander leaves and start grinding them till you get the juice. Drink it every day for a few days. This is one of the granny's home remedies.

Indigestion
Extract juice from two oranges. Pour the juice in a glass and add some salt and pepper powder. Consume it to relive yourself from indigestion.
