Karva Chauth is one of the most important fast which is observed by married women. The importance of this fast is that, married women pray for the long life, well-being and prosperity of their husbands.
Married women keep a strict fast and do not consume even a drop of water while observing this fast. Karva Chauth is considered to be one of the difficult fast which is observed by married women. This fast begins before sunrise and ends only after offering prayers and worshiping the moon during the late evenings.
During this fast, married women do not consume food and water too. Therefore, at this stage the body becomes dehydrated and the stomach begins to grumble with hunger. Due to the fast, married women tend to suffer from gastric problems too.

No Acidic Foods

Stay away from all oily foods. Fried foods and fast foods after breaking your Karva Chauth fast is a strict no. Oily foods will make you feel nauseous.

Eat Proteins
Eat a lot of proteins during this fast. It is important for married women who are fasting for Karva Chauth to consume foods like carrots and apples which are high in proteins.

Switch To Liquids
After breaking your Karva Chauth fast, it is important to treat your body to healthy fruit juices. Sipping on fruit juice is ideally the best way instead of gulping it down.

Water
Since you were on a fast for the whole day, it is important to give your body small amounts of water after you break your Karva Chauth fast. You need to sip on water before you have a healthy meal.

No Rice

Another best meal for you to have post your fast is a cup of oats. This will help curb all the gas which is stored in the stomach right through the day. It has a lot of fibre too which is good for women to consume after breaking the Karva Chauth fast.
