The main issue is our lifestyle change that turns from super busy during the week to super lazy in the weekends. An average person who rises at 6.00 am, remains active all day and then goes to bed at 10.00 pm, suddenly ends up sleeping till 10.00 am in the morning and going to bed at 12.00 in the midnight.

This disruption disturbs the body clock. Your body is tuned to a biological clock that gives it reminders of what to do. So if you don't listen to your body clock for two days it refuses to obey you on Monday and thus you get the Monday morning blues.

You never feel sluggishly sleepy when you are running around all week but in the weekends, the more you sleep, the more you feel sleepy. Sometimes you can feel lazy on Mondays due to too much sleep.
