You will have to make that difficult move to bread or roties from your starchy choice that unfortunately doesn't make a healthy lunch.
- Say No To Potatoes: Your office lunch should ideally not contain potatoes in fattening forms. Mashed potatoes or hashed browns or the unhealthiest of them all, french fries. Potatoes have a high glycemic index, in other words they make your blood sugar level rise sharply making you feel lazy. Boiled potatoes in salad might fare better.
- Honey Desserts Are Banned: Do not have honey glazed buns or cookies for dessert because milk and honey as they say is the perfect combination for sleep. Try eat as little sweets as possible which takes us to the next point.
- Sugar And Flour: This is basically the recipe for baking and cakes and bakes make sleepy food. They will fill you up and make you feel bloated; that is not a welcome feeling when you have to work. So no pastas, pastries, puffs, white breads etc.
- No Junk Food Pledge: All the trans fats from the junk food you eat don't make a healthy lunch and they make you feel gassy too. That contributes to your sluggishness.
- Heavy Breakfast: To have a light lunch it is a must to have a heavy sumptuous breakfast. Wake up half an hour early to eat breakfast like a king so that you are not ravenously hungry at lunch time. When you are having hunger pangs you tend to eat food with emotional value or craving food and that is more often than not unhealthy.
- Watch Your Portions: Eat a little less than you can or want to. Don't stuff yourself to your neck. If you cultivate this habit then you will feel comfortably full not bursting at the brims.
