Salmonella Poisoning: Avoid These Foods!
Salmonella poisoning may occur when you eat food that is contaminated. It is a bacterial infection. Though it is often associated with poultry, we cannot rule out the chances of suffering this infection through other foods.

This bacteria can cause serious illness. Generally, it could affect a person for nearly a week if no treatment is taken. Fever, diarrhea and even stomach cramps are some of the first symptoms that indicate this infection.
If such symptoms show up a few hours after eating a particular food, then it could be salmonella. If your immune system is weak, this illness could seriously affect you.

This infection may occur during the summer season as salmonella can breed in warm conditions. Now, let us know about the foods that may cause this infection.

Raw Meat
Most of us seldom prefer raw meat but still sometimes, even the cooking method may also fail to prevent the bacteria. And of course, it is better to avoid eating raw meat.

Pre-Cut Veggies
It is better to avoid buying precut fruits or vegetables from the store as they may harbour bacteria.

Raw Egg
Raw eggs could be dangerous sometimes. It is risky to eat a raw egg. To avoid the potential risk, boil the egg.

Tomatoes
Sometimes, even tomatoes can be a cause of panic especially when it comes to salads. Never buy a packet of salad which has been prepared an hour ago.

Raw Sprouts
Though eating sprouts is healthy, they may sometimes cause an outbreak especially if the sprouts are contaminated. Cooking them fully can solve the issue.

Peanut Butter
It is better to avoid peanut butter especially if you are worried about food poisoning as this is one of the foods that can potentially be a breeding ground for salmonella.

Undercooked Foods
Cooking generally kills most of the bacteria but if a particular food isn't cooked properly, the risk of salmonella still exists.
