1. For Urinary Tract Infection:
Add a pinch of baking soda to a glass of water and drink this, as it will treat the symptoms of urinary tract infection in no time. Baking soda helps fight infections and also alkalizes the infection in bladder, thus protecting it from all kinds of bacteria. This is one of the best home remedies to cure urinary tract infection.

2. For Spider Bites:
Raw potatoes are enriched with anti-itching and anti-inflammatory properties. Wrap a sliced potato in a bandage and then rub it on the bitten area for about 5 minutes. This is regarded as one of the oldest traditional remedies to cure spider bites.

3. For Arthritis:
Soak some golden raisins in a spoonful of gin overnight. Hence, this will mix up the anti-inflammatory properties of the juniper berries, which is the main ingredient of gin, with the vitamins in raisins. This when consumed will help relieve the pain and swelling associated with arthritis.

4. For Bad Breath:
Chew a bunch of celery leaves for a few days and this will put an end to bad breath once and for all. Celery, being a fiber-rich food, helps to break down the plaque buildup (on teeth) and sulphur compounds in the mouth that can lead to bad breath. It also increases the saliva production, thereby allowing the food particles to be washed off easily from the mouth.

5. Hair Loss:
Nettle leaves are considered to be the right choice for hair loss, as they are enriched with protein, calcium, iron, beta-carotene, phosphorous as well as Vitamins A, C, D and B complex. You can prepare tea using nettle leaves and drink it to get rid of hair loss.

6. For Menopause:
Yams, which are rich in Vitamins A and C, help in balancing the hormones in the body. Yam also helps in reducing the cholesterol levels. This is one of the best home remedies that is passed on by our grandmas to treat menopausal symptoms.

7. For Indigestion:
Have you ever wondered why grandparents keep eating apricots after dinner? Well, eating five apricots every day after dinner helps with digestion. Being rich in dietary fiber, it helps with digestion and also prevents bloating.
