Best Ways To Treat Sinus With Ayurveda
Listed here are a few of the best ways to treat sinus with the help of ayurveda.
Come winter, and a majority of the people suffer from sinus congestions. Headache, stuffy nose, heavy head and sleepiness are often the most common symptoms of this common infection.
Sinuses are basically empty air chambers, which are situated in our head bone. They connect our nose to the skull, where air is exchanged and mucus is drained.
There are basically four sinus cavities in our face, which are lined with cells containing fine hair.
Sinuses have a lot of functions. The mucus that they produce helps to filter the bacteria, virus and fungi from the air that we breathe and they also remove other unwanted particles. They serve as air pockets that help reduce the weight of our skull.

When our sinuses are infected, the inner lining gets inflamed. This condition is commonly known as sinusitis or sinus infections. The opening becomes narrow for the passage of air. Our body reacts by producing more mucus, which in turn makes the matters worse.
Sinus infections are most commonly caused by bacteria and fungi. They enter the sinus passage through the air that we breathe. They settle down on the lining of the sinus and cause an infection.
Sinus infections are most common in winters. That is because humans tend to dwell in warmer places, coming closely in contact with these viruses.
Though doctors prescribe antibiotics for sinus bouts, these are not preferred if the cases are recurrent. During such times, it is better to resort to ayurvedic remedies, as they are sure to work and give a long-term relief.
