Painful Menstrual Is Unbearable To Handle

Menstrual Cramps are the most common among women of today. Not all women undergo these painful moments during their monthly periods. But most of them do! The medical term of this menstrual cramps are called as ' dysmenorrhea'.

Some of these cramps that occur are not that painful, but some cases they are extremely painful causing severe discomfort. There are of two types, that is primary and secondary.

Here discussed is the primary cramps and how to over come the pain.

Primary cramps are often seen in young girls who have just started their menstruation cycle. Pain is felt in the lower abdomen, back and some times even in thighs. The pain usually decreases in your mid twenties and gradually may even stop when you give birth to a child.

The detailed reason for the pain in menstrual cramps is likely unknown , but it can be due to the following:-

  1. Irregular periods or delayed periods
  2. Under weight or over weight
  3. Over exercise or lack of exercise
  4. Production of prostaglandins, natural chemicals which causes the pain
  5. Flow of blood to the cervix is hard
  6. Contraction of the muscles in the uterus

To fight the pain of these menstrual cramps is not that difficult, you can over come it if you:-

  • Do regular activities
  • Take pain killers
  • Use heating pads
  • Practice yoga
  • Take a warm bath
  • Include Calcium , zinc and magnesium supplements in your diet

If you follow a rich diet of fruits and iron with a lot of pulses, vegetable oils and nuts , then you can deal with menstrual cramps. Try to follow a strict routine of exercise and allow yourself to be relaxed . Women who like to drink, avoid it as it can worsen your pain during this time of the month.
