The extra pounds that you gain due to water retention in the body are precisely what we are talking about. This kind of weight may be put on due a variety of reasons. It is very common post pregnancy when you tend to accumulate water in the body. Also id you have edema as a medical condition you tend to have this problem.

There are some foods that when incorporated in your diet can help you lose weight. This diet plan of yours should avoid certain foods and encourage certain others.

What Water Weight Diet Should Not Have?

1. Salt and Sugar: The usual suspects when it comes to water retention in the body. It is unfortunately impossible to eradicate these two from your food totally but if you can do it you will see fast results. Have minimum salt in your food and keep sugar out of your beverages.

2. High Sodium Foods: You diet to lose weight that is all watery instead of fatty must not contain salted or smokes items, processed meat like sausages and salami because they have a very high sodium content. In fact even some sauces like the famous soy sauce are not permitted. Read the contents of the food you are buying carefully.

3. High Potassium Foods: The natural potassium that you get from fruits and vegetables is good for you. However avoid spicy food like red chilies, paprika etc in your condition.

What Water Weight Diet Should Have?

Now what is the most natural way that the water accumulated in your boy will go out? The most obvious answer is by urination. There are some natural foods that are called diuretics; they basically increase the frequency and amount of urination in the body. Having these foods in you diet to lose weight can solve your particular problem.

1. Fruits like artichokes, watermelon (although it has high water content itself), water cress and oats can help. The fruits are natural diuretics and should be consumed in large amounts.

2. Vegetables like lettuce, cabbage, carrots, cucumber, sprouts and asparagus too are great to lose water.

3. Fluids too can help lose water. The best example is apple cider vinegar. Then come cranberry juice, green tea and other herbal teas. It is a misconception that cutting out on fluids is the best way to lose weight of retained water. Your body needs hydration too and those active fluids won"t come from the stored water in the cells.

4. Normal dehydrating beverages like tea, coffee and aerated drinks too dry out water but they are not a very healthy option to choose. Go for the other natural options mentioned above.
Water weight is easier to lose because it can be lost without too much physical activity just by maintaining a diet.
