Lakmé Fashion Week 2023, Day 2: Star-Studded Runway And Stunning Outfits Will Live Rent-Free In Our Hearts

On Day 2 of one of the prestigious fashion events, Lakme Fashion Week 2023 X FDCI celebrities kept the stage lit with their stylish outfit and created a buzz. The amazing collections by prominent designers like Tarun Tahiliani, Mohit Rai, Abir n Nanki, Moses Koul, Anvita Sharma and many more. From traditional and classy to quirky and fun, there was everything on the star-studded runway and no wonder this show is picking up the steam quite fast.
Lakmé Fashion Week 2023, Day 2: Star-Studded Runway And Stunning Outfits Will Live Rent-Free In Our Hearts

1. Shilpa Shetty
Actress and proud Yogini Shilpa Shetty turn showstopper for Limerick by Abirr n Nanki. The collection was titled ‘Song Of The Valley' which celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Kashmir. She was seen walking the ramp in a stunning magenta-blue crepe body-hugging jumpsuit. The interesting patterns, curved lines and motifs were a complete treat in every sense. The entire collection became alive due to the exquisite artwork against the solid fabrics.

2. Sanya Malhotra
Sanya Malhotra looked ‘flirtatious' as she turned showstopper for Aakriti Grover's label Flirtatious India. The actress wore a pair of saffron-coloured bikini blouse with a cut skirt and dupatta and she oozed oodles of confidence and panache while walking on the ramp. This collection was all about beautiful and sassy beachwear and was inspired by Netflix's hit show ‘The White Lotus'. From bright colours to eye-catchy prints, there were everything that one can visualise in a hot summer trend.

3. Niharika NM
Sameer Madan Niharika NM turns showstopper for Designer Sameer Madan's Summer Cruise'23 collection ‘Untamed- The Wild Thing', which captured pomp of the 80s and 90s culture. This collection was mysterious and glitzy and his muse inspiration was Monica Bellucci, a 90's Italian artist. The techniques used were faux leather line leopard machine embroidery, organza ruffling, ruching, hand tossed organza fringes, pintucks and latex leather scrunch.

4. Sanjana Sanghi
A vibrant, joyous set of outfits were presented by Designer Siddhartha Bansal. Sanjana Sanghi became the showstopper for the ‘Seven Heaven' collection. Bansal is the winner of design contest ‘The Spotlight by Nexa and his designs were all about ruffles and rainbows which were inspired by the atmosphere of the 1960s and 1970s. The cocktail dresses were all about free spirit, and self expression. From rich and flowy fabrics to a dopamine bright mix of hue prints and patterns, it was a complete visual harmony.

5. Sobhita Dhulipala
Actress Sobhita Dhulipala looked like an enigma as she wore a sizzling red gown for ace designer Tarun Tahiliani at the ongoing Lakme Fashion Week. Tahiliani's latest spring/summer collection ‘Ode to this animation-the drape suspended in time' is all about intricate embellishments and feminine alluring ssilhouettesThis is a great addition to the wedding season mood board and is also perfect for events like cocktail parties and receptions. From sheer panels, figure-hugging fit, criss-cross silhouette, plunging neckline, and broad straps on the shoulder, this hot red outfit featured everything.

6. Sonakshi Sinha, Anshula Kapoor and Antara Marwah and Anaita Shroff
On day 2 of LFW 2023, actress Sonakshi Sinha donned ITRH's golden shimmering three-piece mermaid ensemble by designer Mohit Rai from the collection ‘Dancing Queen' and danced to the 80s hit Jimmy Jimmy Aaja Aaja. Anshula Kapoor too made her runway debut with ITRH and was joined by Anaita Shroff and Antara Marwah on the ramp. Anshula was seen wearing a ash coloured disco outfit - a glitter corset top, a high slit skirt and a long line shrug. Mohit Marwah's wife Antara Motiwala Marwah walked proudly with her bared baby bump in a shimmery outfit as well. Anaita wore a white outfit with a cape.

7. Anvita Sharma’s label Two Point Two
Even though this ace designer Anvita Sharma didn't have a showstopper for her label Two Point Two. Her collection was bold, fierce and contemporary and their collection is titled ‘A Warrior's Journey'. This collection featured Japanese patterns, bold hues of red, green and black, interesting patterns, asymmetrical shapes and made a fierce statement through the use of designs and prints.
