Tomato and Onion Chutney Recipe
There are many types of chutney that are prepared in the Indian cuisine. From coriander chutney to garlic chutney, cooking experts use their talent to prepare some lip smacking recipes using basic ingredients.
Chutney is one of the popular side dishes that are popular in the cuisine. Be it with rice or rotis, chutneys are served as a side dish to make the meal all the more delicious. Both sweet and spicy chutneys are prepared. As there are en number of recipes, we decided to help you get a clear and easy to prepare chutney.
It is an easy to prepare chutney which uses basic ingredients namely tomato, onions and green chillies. This chutney recipe is quick and you do not need to fry it in oil as well. Check out the recipe.

Tomato and Onion Chutney Recipe:

Serves: 4
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Ingredients
1. Onion- 2
2. Tomato- 4-5
3. Green chilli- 2
4. Salt- as per taste
5. Red chilli powder- 1tsp
Procedure
1. Peel the onions and cut them into 4 halves. Now cut them into two halves each.
2. Wash the tomato and cut them into 4 halves as well. Cut the tomato slices into two halves each.
3. In a grinder, add all the ingredients namely onions, tomato, green chilli, salt and red chilli.
4. Ground into a fine paste. Do not add water as tomato is pulpy and will leave water.
5. Once done, check if the tomato and onion pieces have grounded finely or not. If done, pour into a bowl.
Serve this tomato and onion chutney with roti and sabzi or with rice and dal. It is spicy and the taste of raw onions make it a delicious finger licking side dish.
