How To Cook Prawns In Healthy Ways?

Here are some cooking tips that help you understand how to cook prawns perfectly.
How To Cook Prawns Perfectly?
1. First of all you need to learn to clean shrimps because if cleaned improperly they can be poisonous. There is a thin black thread like thing on the back of a prawn; that is the poison vein. It is easy enough to spot as it is black on a transparent white background.
2. You need to make use of scissors to slice the back of the prawn slightly and pick out the poison vein. Soak the shrimps for cleaning in water after this.
3. If you don't want your prawns to coil up into coins then you have to keep the head intact. Severing the head of the prawns makes them coil during cooking.
4. To clean the shrimp's head you need to detach it slightly from the body and wash under running water. The orange gooey substance (that may or may not be toxic) gets washed away.
5. While cooking seafood it is exceedingly important to preserve its nutrition. Being from sea water shrimp has nutritious minerals like phosphorous that get destroyed by over cooking.
6. Your first rule for how to cook prawns is that you can never deep fry prawns. Then what about all the fried prawn recipes you have tried? The sub clause is that you can never deep fry prawns directly on the flame; you need to wrap it in a batter. If you fail to do so then prawns will become fibrous and tasteless.
7. If you are cooking prawns on direct flame then do not cook it for more than 2-4 minutes. You have to always cook it on low flame and shallow fry it with just a few drops of oil.
8. Cooking prawns releases the stored water in it but do not turn on the flame to dry it up. It will add to the flavour of your shrimp recipe.
9. If you are making a curry or gravy with prawns you can skip frying them. Now seafood has a typical stench that turns off some people. To get rid of the smell, boil prawns with salt and a dash of turmeric powder. Drain away the water and drop the prawns in the curry directly.
10. Prawns can also be cooked by sun drying them for a week or so.
