Cham Cham Recipe
Cham Cham, is a Bengali sweet, famous among those who has sweet tooth. On the Occasion of Durga Pooja, Cham Cham, is a part of the ceremony and also of the gifts which people give each other. Here is the recipe of Cham Cham to treat yourself to homemade Bengali sweet.

Ingredients:

1.Full Cream – 2 lt
2.Lime juice – 2-3 spoons
3.Flour – 5 tbsp
4.Water – 4 cups
5.Sugar – 2 cups
6.Rose Water – 2-3 tbsp
7.200 gm fresh cream

Method

1.Boil some milk over medium flame. Keep stiring it to avoid burning. When the milk starts to boil, put in the lime juice. Soon the milk will curdle up. When the water has separated from the milk put off the fire.

2.Strain the cottage cheese and wash it weel to take away the taste of lime.
3.Put the cottage cheese in a cloth and hand it, till all the water has strained completely.

4.Take the cottage cheese in a bowl and knead it well till the lumps have gone. The well you knead, the better the Cham Cham will be.

5.Then add flour to it and mix it well.

6.Boil water and sugar together to boil it into a thin sugar syrup.

7.Then make small balls of the kneaded cottage cheese and press it in your hand, to give it a flat oval shape.

8.Gently drop the balls into the sugar syrup and cook it in pressure cooker till the first whistle blows.

9.Take out rest of the steam and open the lid, allowing the Cham Cham to cool down. The small balls should have gone double the size.

10.After it has cooled off, pour rose water and chill it for few hours.

11.Wip up the thick cream and put it on top of every Cham Cham piece.

12.Garnish it with dry fruits and serve
