New Potatoes Pakora Recipe
Arrival of spring welcomes new seasonal vegetables and fruits. For example, new potatoes are very much in the season and the market is flooded with the fresh and tasty new potatoes. New potatoes are the fresh harvest of the season which are raw and extremely new.
There are many new potatoes recipes that are popular in the Indian cuisine. You can either prepare side dishes or simply try some snacks using the seasonal new potatoes. The taste and flavour of the new potatoes are slightly different. So, it is always a treat to the foodies. As pakoras are the best evening snack, try the recipe. The new potatoes pakora can be easily prepared. Boldsky has added a special ingredient which makes the evening snack all the more delicious. New Potatoes Pakora Recipe:

Serves: 4
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 25 minutes
Ingredients
New potatoes- 4-5
Besan- 1 cup
Carom seeds/ajwain- 1tsp
Red chilli powder- 1tsp
Black sesame seeds- a pinch
Salt- as per taste
Oil- 1 cup (for frying)
Water- ½ cup
Boldsky's Special Ingredient
Fenugreek leaves- 1tsp (finely chopped)
Procedure
Wash the new potatoes and do not peel them. Cut them into slices and soak in water.
Meanwhile, make a semi-thick consistency batter of besan with water. Whisk well so that no lumps are formed.
Add carom seeds, red chilli powder, black sesame seeds, salt and fenugreek seeds. Mix well.
Heat oil in a frying pan. When the oil is piping hot, take one potato slice and coat it with the besan batter.
Gently leave it inside the frying pan. Fry on a medium flame till the pakora turns golden brown and looks crisp.
Follow the same process with the remaining potato slices.
The new potatoes pakora with methi is ready to eat. The pakoras or evening snack are crisp and has the flavour of both potatoes and fenugreek leaves. Serve the pakoras hot with tomato sauce or coriander chutney.
