Hariyali Mutton Curry Recipe
It's time to go green with your menu! Hariyali mutton curry or hariyali gosht is a traditional Mughlai recipe, which is famous for its green and creamy texture. This royal mutton recipe is a rich and creamy delight which is sure to excite your taste-buds.
Hariyali mutton curry is recipe is prepared using a blend of Indian herbs and spices. The creamy texture of the dish comes from the cashew nuts and fresh cream which adds a lip-smacking flavour to it. The tender and juicy pieces of mutton just melts in your mouth and makes you crave for more of this royal mutton recipe.

Ingredients
- Mutton- 500gms
- Fresh coriander leaves- 1 bunch
- Green chillies- 3
- Onions- 3
- Ginger-garlic paste- 1tbsp
- Cashew nuts- 6-7
- Peppercorns- 15
- Star anise- 1 small piece
- Cinnamon stick- 1
- Cloves- 3
- Cumin powder- 1tsp
- Coriander powder- 2tsp
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 3tbsp
- Fresh cream- 1tbsp
- Water- 1cup
Procedure
- Wash and clean the mutton pieces thoroughly with water
- Wash the coriander leaves and grind it in a mixer with green chillies, into a thick paste. Keep it aside
- Grind the onions, cashew nuts, cinnamon, star anise, cloves and peppercorns together into a paste
- Heat oil in a pan and add this onion paste to it. Saute on medium flame for about 5-6 minutes
- Add ginger-garlic paste and fry for about 2-3 minutes
- Add cumin powder, coriander powder and fry for another 3 minutes
- Add the coriander paste and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes
- Now add the mutton pieces. Mix well. Cook for 7-8 minutes
- Add salt and water. Cover and cook for about 30 minutes on low flame. Stir at regular intervals
- Once the mutton gets completely cooked, switch of the flame and garnish it with fresh cream
Serve this yummy and tempting hariyali mutton curry with fried rice or rotis.
