Quick Chicken Pulao Recipe
In most of the Indian households, you would working women struggling hard to prepare an easy recipe for breakfast. They are running out of time and women are always a jack of all trade. They look after the home, kitchen and office. Apart from looking after house members, the woman also needs to focus on preparing easy recipes which taste delicious and are healthy too.
As a majority of women are working these days, we thought to help them by providing an easy to make chicken pulao recipe. This pulao can be taken for lunch too. Moreover, the recipe is simple and not time consuming. You just add the ingredients in the pressure cooker and after it whistles, your chicken pulao is ready to eat. Here is the quick chicken pulao recipe for working women.
Quick Chicken Pulao For Breakfast Recipe:

Serves: 3
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20 minutes
Ingredients
- Rice- 2 cups (washed and soaked for 10 minutes)
- Chicken- 250 gms (cut into cubes or medium sized pieces)
- Onions- 2 (chopped or sliced)
- Tomato- 1 (chopped)
- Green chilli -2 (chopped)
- Turmeric powder- 1tsp
- Red chilli powder- 1 ½ tsp
- Jeera powder- 1tsp
- Coriander powder- 1tsp
- Garam masala- a pinch
- Cumin seeds- 1tsp
- Bay leaf- 1
- Salt- as per taste
- Oil- 2tsp
- Water- 2 cups
Procedure
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker. When the oil starts steaming, season with cumin seeds and bay leaf.
- When the seeds start to splutter, add onions and saute on a medium flame for 2 minutes.
- Now add green chilli, salt, turmeric, and mix well. Cook for another minute and then add the chopped tomatoes.
- Cook for about 2 minutes and then add red chilli powder, coriander powder, jeera powder, garam masala and mix well.
- Now add the chicken pieces and cook on a medium flame for 4-5 minutes.
- Pour the rice with water and mix well so that the ingredients are evenly spread.
- Pressure cook for the duration of 3 whistles.
When the pressure is released, open the lid and serve.
