Chicken Drumsticks
Ingredients:
1-cup well-shaken buttermilk
1-tablespoon ground cumin
6 chicken drumsticks
1-cup all-purpose flour
1/2-teaspoon black pepper
4 cups vegetable oil
Salt to taste
Method:
Wash chicken. In a large pan combine buttermilk and 1/2 tablespoon cumin. Add drumsticks and leave it to marinate for about ' an hour t room temperature.
In another bowl combine flour and salt and pepper to taste. In a small cup stir together remaining 1/2 tablespoon cumin, 1 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper.
Heat oil in a pan and till the oil heats take the drumsticks and put them in the bowl containing the flour mixture. Coat well but remove off the excess coating.
Put in the drumsticks into the hot oil. Fry drumsticks, turning occasionally.
Transfer fried drumsticks with tongs to a rack set over paper towels to drain and season while hot with half of cumin salt. Prepare remaining drumsticks in same manner.
