Can Tulsi Reduce Pimples? 3 Ways To Use It
From eating to applying to the body, tulsi has been used for a variety of purposes. One of the unique aspects of tulsi is that the leaves are antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antifungal. In addition to reducing skin problems, all three of these components also increase the body's immunity [1][2].

So, have you used tulsi for your skin before, can tulsi reduce pimples? This article will guide you.
Tulsi For Skincare: Is It Beneficial?
The herb tulsi, also known as Holy Basil, is commonly used in Ayurveda as a cure for a variety of minor ailments, as well as to promote hair growth [3].
This herb is believed to move excess Kapha (water/earth) and Vata (air) doshas, which are the elemental building blocks of Ayurveda [4].
But what about research? Is there any scientific basis for this?
It appears that some research indicates that tulsi may offer a number of skin and hair benefits, including fighting acne, supporting healthy skin ageing, reducing pigmentation, soothing skin conditions such as eczema, preventing hair loss or thinning, and preventing dandruff. However, there are limited quality studies conducted on tulsi [5].
Let's examine how tulsi can be used to treat acne and pimples on the face.
Can Tulsi Reduce Pimples?
As tulsi has antibacterial properties, it may be beneficial for people with acne and pimples. Acne results from blocked hair follicles that become infected with bacteria [6].
People with acne-prone skin may benefit from using antibacterial ingredients such as tulsi in order to prevent acne breakouts.
Despite the fact that no human trials have been conducted, there is experimental evidence that tulsi may be beneficial in treating bacterial infections, such as acne, in humans.
