DIY: Cooked Rice & Turmeric Anti-Tan Body Mask

Well, summer is almost around the corner, that's why we'd like to introduce to you a new body mask that will help you get rid of tan easily and also give you a glowing skin.

When skin gets exposed to UV rays, it accelerates the production of melanin in the body, thus making our skin appear dark and tanned.

Tanning of skin can lead to premature ageing of the skin and also lead to the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and pores on the skin.

Well, if you want to remove tan from the body, here is an easy way to do it.


Here's What You'd Require

Half cup of cooked rice
3 spoons of turmeric powder
Epsom salt
2 spoons of yogurt
1 spoon of honey

Take half cup of cooked rice

Step #2

Now add one spoon of honey to it


Step #3

Add 3 spoons of turmeric to the cooked rice and honey mixture


Step #4

Then, add about ½ a pinch of Epsom salt; and if you don't have any Epsom salt around, you could use normal salt.


Step #5

Add one spoon of yogurt and mix everything properly.


Step #6

Mix the ingredients thoroughly and make sure the cooked rice is mashed properly.


Step #7

If needed, you can also mash this mask in a blender to get a fine consistency or mash it with the help of a spoon or fork.

Apply this mask on your face and neck and wash off with lukewarm water once it has dried completely.

Repeat doing this two times in a day to get rid of the tan easily.

Rice contains a good amount of linoleic acid, a potent antioxidant, which helps to promote the collagen production of skin, which in turn keeps the skin taut and smooth. It also improves elasticity of the skin and prevents deep penetration of the UV rays.

Turmeric contains anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties that help kill bacteria, thus giving you a glowing skin.


Benefits Of Epsom Salt:

Due to Vitamin C present in the Epsom salt, it can help to get rid of the tan easily. Vitamin C helps to lighten your skin tone easily, thus preventing dark and tanned skin.


Benefits Of Honey:

Due to essential amino acids present in the honey, it acts as a natural humectant that helps to keep your skin moisturised and hydrated for a long period of time. Honey also helps to improve the elasticity of your skin by keeping it firm.
